YOU SAID IT!

I get lots of emails from watch-lovers all over the world who want to share their passion for watches, or just ask a question. For some of them English isn't their first language, and their messages are, well, different to your usual sort of thing. Please note that I'm not making fun of these writers and I love receiving their emails; it's just that—well, take a look for yourself and see what you think. The message extracts are shown here exactly as I received them, but without the names, of course.

Hi Lez!
Tell you what! Your articles really inspired me. When I was still working in Michigan, I read your reviews as I was linked to your website by timezone.com. I told one of my collegues in hospital that " This is the life style I want! Having a loving wife, and cooks good meals, Sometimes go scubadiving for leisure, and collect a lot of watches... Then I will be content with my life." She said I am easily satisfied.

Hello
I read your article on diving with a Seiko or Citizens. The reading was great, as were the scans. I used to go diving with a quartz no more. I only used automatic. My panerai to nice to go in the water, so I used a Super pro. Thanks for the article.
Have a nice day

Hi there!
Magnificent web site. I own an Eterna and you forgot to mention how durable they are, apart from having gorgeous models. What do you have to say about the Hamilton Viewmatic or about any vintage Hamilton? What about the collectos pieces Desta French watches? I also like Omega, Bucherer, Longines and Vulcain. Great web site. You just need more reviews and you should comment on the durability of the watches.
Great!

My wife is having trouble getting Seiko's Coserv service center to REALLY repair her Kinetic. It's been sent to Mahwah, NJ twice since February 2001. Do you have any tips on how to "crack the whip" with them?

I'm a little schocked. On a pickture from inside the Navihawk I can read 'NO JUWELS'. I think this is bad for such an hitech watch. What do you think about.

I have read through your article from timezone.com. It is a pretty good a report. I'd like to share my experience to you. My Navihawk operates great under normal situation, however, it might not be quite well in some circumstances. For example, this watch reset itself as I am washing my hand this morning. I think perhaps the warm water gives offf the heat through the case of this watch. And the micro chip might not be able to function well in high temperature (warm water for washing our hand). I think Breitling might not have such a problem like this. Well, I don't have a Breitling. Maybe I don't have the right to say so.

I see that you are a bit of a watch freak.........

Hallo, I'm French. How can I buy a Tudor sub like yours?

P.S. That shark in the review?-scary just looking at it!

You write wonderful reviews; what do you do for a living?

I should stop reading your reviews. I bought a Diver's 7256 after reading that one, and I've just ordered a Ti Navihawk from Worldwatches!

The Seiko does everything I need. Of course the Navihawk will do more than anyone could possibly need, but I wanted a Ti, Quartz-accurate watch that didn't need a battery and didn't look like it was designed to be worn on a porn star's penis, like so many Japanese watches.

...will have to try one of the crazy recipes.

Is this what I need to open a Seiko?

I was thinking about doing a review myself but after reading your review I decided that I shouldn't mess with perfection.
